 Dates Announced - 2010 Sobeys Slam
The 2010 Sobeys Slam will take place from November 10-14 at the John Brother MacDonald Stadium in New Glasgow, NS. Hosted by the Bluenose Curling Club, this award winning, 32 team event will have preliminary rounds played at both the curling club and the John Brother MacDonald stadium. Teams will compete for a total prize purse of $60,000, which is the highest purse being offered in women’s curling events. Part of the World Curling Tour’s Grand Slam series, The Sobeys Slam is one of only three women’s stops on the tour, joining curling hotbeds Calgary and Winnipeg as host cities. Through its partnership with the Town of New Glasgow, the Sobeys Slam is also the only women’s event on the tour to take place in an arena. To read more about this and other news items, click here |
